How to link Mail to Task Print

You can create a task directly from an email to help you keep track of follow-up actions. The task will remain linked to the email, allowing you to quickly access the original message whenever needed.

Step 1: Open an Email

  1. Log in to your business email account.
  2. Open the email that you want to link to a task.

Step 2: Create a Task

  1. Click the Actions (⋮) menu.
  2. Select Add Task.

Step 3: Enter Task Details

  1. Enter a Subject for the task.
  2. Add a Description (optional).
  3. Select the Task List where the task will be saved.
  4. Set the Start Date and Due Date, if required.
  5. Enable a Reminder if you would like to receive a notification.
  6. Set the Priority, Status, and Completion Percentage as needed.

Step 4: Save the Task

  1. Click Save.
  2. The task will be created and automatically linked to the selected email.

View a Linked Task

To view a task linked to an email:

  1. Open the linked email.
  2. Click the task link displayed at the top of the email.
  3. Select the task to view or edit its details.

Open the Linked Email from a Task

  1. Open the Tasks section.
  2. Select the task you want to view.
  3. Under Related Item, click the linked email to open the original message.

Note:

  • A single email can be linked to multiple tasks.
  • If the linked email is moved or deleted, the task will remain, but the link to the original email may no longer be available.
  • To remove the link, simply delete the associated task.
