Canonical Name (CNAME) record

CNAME records can be used to alias one name to another means that it maps a name to another name. It should only be used when there are no other records on that name.

For more understanding, if you have a server where you keep all of your documents online, it might normally be accessed through docs.example.com. You may also want to access it through documents.example.com. One way to make this possible is to add a CNAME record that points documents.example.com to docs.example.com. When someone visits documents.example.comthey will see the exact same content as docs.example.com.

Step 1 : In order to add your cname record, you need to go to https://ca.myduniahosting.com/knowledgebase/10239/How-to-manage-DNS-records.html to make sure you follow the right step.

Step 2 : Then, you will need to choose type of record that you want to add and fill your RDATA. Next, click the Add Record button.
